We celebrated a significant milestone as our newly elected student leaders officially stepped into their roles.
It was a day of pride, commitment, and tradition as the school hosted both the Prefect Tie Ceremony and the formal signing of the Prefect Pledge.
The morning began with the Tie Ceremony, where the chosen learners were presented with their distinctive prefect ties. This long-standing tradition at Transkei Primary symbolizes the transition from student to recognized leader, marking a new level of responsibility within our school community.
Immediately following the ceremony, the prefects gathered to make their commitments official. One by one, they signed their Prefect Pledges, promising to:
-
Lead by example in both behavior and academics.
-
Support their peers and maintain school spirit.
-
Uphold the values and rules of Transkei Primary School.
-
Act with integrity and fairness in all their duties.
The atmosphere was filled with a sense of duty and excitement. Seeing these young leaders put pen to paper serves as a reminder that leadership is not just a title, but a promise to serve others.
Congratulations to the Class of 2026 Prefects. We look forward to seeing the positive impact you will have on our school this year.
