
Admission Policy
1. CHRISTIAN ETHOS & PHILOSOPHY
Transkei Primary School is a Christian-based institution. Our educational approach is rooted in Biblical values. While we welcome learners from all backgrounds, parents and learners are expected to respect and participate in the school's Christian activities and curriculum.
2. LEGAL FRAMEWORK & STATUS
This policy is drafted in accordance with the South African Schools Act (SASA) No. 84 of 1996. As a Quintile 5 school, we are a fee-paying institution. Enrollment is subject to the parents’ commitment to the School Fees Policy as determined by the SGB.
3. ADMISSION TIMELINE
• Applications Open: February annually.
• Applications Close: 31 March.
• Placement Notification: The Admission Committee will finalize all placements by August.
4. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
In compliance with the Immigration Act, all non-South African citizens must provide a valid Study Permit. No international learner will be officially enrolled without valid documentation from the Department of Home Affairs.
5. PLACEMENT CRITERIA
The Admission Committee is responsible for all placements. Priority is given to:
• Learners residing within the school's feeder zone.
• Siblings of learners currently enrolled in the school.
• Age-appropriate learners (Grade RR: Age 5; Grade R: Age 6).
6. ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS
A non-refundable Admin Fee of R150 is payable upon submission of the physical application pack at Gate 8. This fee covers the administrative costs of processing the application.

Personal information collected during the application process is handled in strict accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and is used solely for admission and school-related administration.
